Icelandic Text Archive (Íslenskt textasafn) contains various old and recent texts, 65 million tokens in total.

About Icelandic Text Archive

The texts in the archive are placed in several categories. Among older texts are medieval sagas, works from the 16th-18th centuries (especially travel books and autobiographies), folk tales, the Bible, and novels from the period 1830-1920. Among the recent texts are newspaper texts from Morgunblaðið, transcribed spoken language, blogs, and e-mails. Furthermore, the archive contains texts from recent novels and biographies, and also academic texts on biology and other sciences, history, philosophy, and more.
